John F. Danilowicz, 57, of Bluebird Court, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
John was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 23, 1955. He was the son of the late John and Jacqueline Taylor Danilowicz.
John was employed by Paper Magic Inc., Moosic.
He was an avid ice hockey fan who enjoyed rooting for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey teams. He was a generous donator to various local and national charities.
John was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, Mountain Top.
Surviving are his wife of 21 years, the former Kathy Manley, at home; son, Marc Danilowicz, San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Johnna Danilowicz, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Michael Danilowicz, Hershey; sisters, Jeanine Deni, Philadelphia; and Melissa Petrillo, Hanover Township; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for John will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 3577 Church Road, Mountain Top, with the Rev. Thomas Miller, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be private and held in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
