John Miele, 66, of Harding passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Celtic Healthcare Hospice Inpatient Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Perth Amboy, N.J., he was the son of the late Anthony and Louise (Trivett) Miele. He was educated in the Iselin School District. Prior to his retirement, he was a general contractor. In the mid-70s, he owned and operated the Lazy J. Ranch of Harding, where they would hold horse shows and operated stables. He was a member of the Slocum Apostolic Chapel of Exeter.
Preceding him in death was his brother, Skip Miele.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Felecia Renna; children, Rachel Miele, Harding; Danny Miele, Harding; Amanda Miele, Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Cody Azarovich, Jonathan Wheelend, TJ Leonard, Amayah Leonard and Jessie Quinnin; sisters; Patricia Schiavone, Bethlehem; Darlene Faria, Bethlehem; brother; Thomas Miele, Pittston; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of John's life is currently being planned and will be announced in the near future.
