Joseph (Chet) B. Chesslock, 77, of York, formerly of Duryea, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, in Memorial Hospital, York.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mary Copjak Chesslock; and son, Kirk Chesslock.

Surviving are his daughter, Sheila Chesslock and her companion, Steve Laudenslager, York; grandson, Jimi Chesslock, Old Forge; nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday from Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., Duryea, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The AMVETS, Dupont, will conduct military services on Thursday morning.
