Joseph Charneski

Joseph Charneski, 72, of Edwardsville died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in his home.

He was born in Kingston, son of the late Anthony and Margaret Yanchury Charneski. He was a graduate of Kingston High School and was formerly employed by Liberty Throwing Co., Kingston, for 41 years.

Hunting, fishing and camping were his passions. Joe loved to share his love for the outdoors with his friends and family. He took many trips to Canada, and camped as often as he could. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his sons, Glen Makowski and his wife, Meghan, Kingston; and Mark Makowski and his wife, Molly, Larksville; grandchildren, Carianna Makowski, Mark Makowski, Mia Caine and Preston King; brother, Anthony Charneski, Edwardsville; sister, Mary Gilbert, Kingston; and brother, Bernard Charneski, Kingston.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday from Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
