Joseph J. Kryzanski, 76, of Riley Street in the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke passed away Saturday at home.
Born on June 15, 1937 in Nanticoke, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lottie Price Kryzanski. He was a Korean War
veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, Joseph had been employed by Certainteed Corp in Mountain Top. He was a member of the American Legion Post 350, the Quoit Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Nest 834, all in Nanticoke, and the Korean War Vets of Wyoming Valley, VFW
in Kingston and the AmVets in Hanover Township.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Marlene Kalinay; son, Wayne Briggs; daughter, Donna Briggs Cahill; sisters Elaine Kutsup, Dorothy Stavetski, Lillian Kutcha, Irene Lauria and Eleanor Meck.
Surviving are daughters Karen Kryzanski and Mrs. Thomas (Melanie) Yashinski; sons, Joseph Kryzanski Jr. and his wife, Sharon; and Jamie Kryzanski; daughter-in-law Judy Briggs; grandchildren Christopher and Kevin Cahill; Erik and Jarred Briggs; Ryan, Troy and Cory Yashinski; great-granddaughter Lisa Marie Cahill and sister Victoria Van Fossen and his beloved companion and best friend, Lady.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Erwine Home Health Care and Angels Touch and the many professionals who contributed to the care of our beloved father.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Daniel Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
