Joseph Stephen Levi

Joseph Stephen Levi, 84, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away on March 21, 2013.

Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Malak Levi. Also preceding him in death was a brother, William Levi.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean Isopi Levi. He is also survived by three children, daughter, Mary Ann and her husband, Andrew Michaels, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; son, Joseph and his wife, Gina, Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Debra and her husband, Gregg, Yankovich, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and four grandchildren, Marisa Michaels, Nicholas and Joshua Levi and Noah Yankovich; sister-in-law, Catherine Carchilla, Charlotte, N.C; brother-in-law, William and his wife, Rosemary Isopi, Dallas. He has several nieces and nephews.

Prior to moving to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in July 2004, Joseph and his wife resided in Shavertown, with their family. He owned and operated the Chase Nursery in Shavertown for 43 years before retiring.

He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and belonged to the Daddow-Issacs Post 672 American Legion in Dallas, and the Elks Lodge 1771 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Joseph loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

There will be a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Therese's Church, Shavertown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wyoming.
