Judith L. Nordstrom, 77, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Scranton, a daughter of the late William and Naomi Nagle Johnson. She was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Class of 1954, and was a member of the committee planning their 60th reunion.
A former member of Parsons Baptist Church, she served for many years as the choir director. Presently she was a member of the Parsons Primitive Methodist Church.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Nordstrom, who passed away March 28, 1995; sister, Audrey Jones; and brother, William Johnson.
Surviving are her children, Eric Nordstrom, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Jill Lichtenwalner and her husband, Chip, Bethlehem; granddaughter, Abigail Lichtenwalner; companion for the last 10 years, William Halcisak, Ocean City, Md.; and nieces, Gail Lehr and Pam McGillaway.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Andy Jerome, pastor of Parsons Primitive Church.
Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.
