Judy Mullen, 69, a resident of Forty Fort died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
Born Jan. 27, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Irene Norton Mullen of Wilkes-Barre and the late Dennis A. Mullen.
Judy was a graduate of Coughlin High School and continued her education in nursing at Luzerne County Community College.
Judy was a registered nurse, working in the operating rooms of Nesbitt Memorial Hospital for 32 years. She retired from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after 38 years of nursing.
Her sister, Maureen Cook and brother, Robert Mullen, preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her mother; sister, Ann and her husband, Mark Breymeier, Garnet Valley; nephews, Dennis Cook, Scranton; Stephen Cook, Kingston; and Noah Breymeier, Garnet Valley.
Memorial donations are preferred and may be made to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702, or Greater Wilkes-Barre Association for the Blind, 1825 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, PA 18643.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from McLaughlin's — The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hanover Township.
Visitation will be held at McLaughlin's from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
