Julia M. Narcum

Julia M. Narcum of Hanover Township died peacefully Sunday, June 22, 2014, after suffering for several years with Alzheimer's disease.

Born Dec. 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Bednarski.

Julia graduated from Plymouth High School. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the garment industry. She retired from Plymouth Dress Co. in 1981, to take care of her parents.

As a child, she was a member of St. Mary's Nativity Roman Catholic Church in Plymouth. Upon her marriage, she became a member of St. Casimir's Church in Lyndwood, Hanover Township, until its closing. Most recently, she belonged to All Saints Parish in Plymouth.

She was married to the late Leonard Anthony Narcum Sr. Julia was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leonard, John and Edward Bednarski.

Julia will be greatly missed and survived by her five children, Anita Huda, wife of John, Hanover Township; Leonard Narcum Jr., husband of Kathleen, Hanover Township; Robert Narcum, husband of Criss, Russellville, Ark.; Ruth Daron, wife of Craig, Shavertown; and Mary Kolessar, wife of David, Shavertown. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy Jennings and husband, LeRoy, Jessica Huda, John and Eric Narcum, Jamie, Bethany and Jason Daron and Alex and Jake Kolessar; and great-grandchildren, J.D. and Aidan Jennings. Also surviving are her brothers, Stanley and wife, Louise, Hanover Township; Joseph and wife, Marie, Edwardsville; and Bernard, Hickory, N.C.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Township.
