Kenneth J. Harper

Ken J. Harper, 53, of Exeter passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 30, 2014, at the inpatient unit of Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Waterbury, Conn., he was the son of Robert and Barbara Kennedy Harper of Naugatuck, Conn.

Ken was a dedicated chef for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital for 17 years, and he was also a Navy veteran and a member of the Moose Lodge of West Pittston.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his life partner, Denise Swainbank, Exeter; daughters, Danielle Harper and Kendra August, Exeter; and Kristen Favata and her husband, David, West Wyoming; grandchildren, David Favata and Aiden August; and brother, Robert Harper II, Pittsburgh.

Funeral services for Ken will be held at 7 p.m. Monday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township.
