Michael E. Sarf, 50, of Wilkes-Barre and formerly of Larksville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
He is the son of Edward (Ned) Sarf of Larksville and the late Rita Melovitz Sarf.
Michael was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and attended Luzerne County Community College.
He was employed by Von Crete, Coccia Ford and McGlynn Auto in Hanover Township.
Mike was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed following Carl Edwards.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Sarf; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Melovitz; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Sarf.
Surviving, along with his father, Edward (Ned) Sarf of Larksville, are his wife, Sharon Sarf, Larksville; daughter, Malina Mack, Hanover Township; and sister, Karen Sarf, Scranton. Special aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services for Michael will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Entombment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
