Michael J. Manganello

Michael J. Manganello, 31, of Wilkes-Barre passed away suddenly Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012.

Born Nov. 2, 1980, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Angelo and Alice Kitzmiller Manganello, he was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Class of 1999, and attended Luzerne County Community College.

In keeping with Michael's loving and generous spirit, it was his decision to be a living kidney donor for his younger brother. He gave us all such courage and hope and reminds us of the preciousness of life.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Marion Kitzmiller, and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Manganello.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Angelo Jr., Anthony and his wife, Denise, William and David; a niece and godchild, Mia; a nephew, A.J.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from Daniel J. Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Dr. Robert M. Zanicky, First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
