Michael (Mickey) Seman Jr.

Michael (Mickey) Seman Jr. of Nanticoke passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at home.

Born July 9, 1946, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael Seman Sr. and Helen Sopp Seman.

He was a graduate of Hanover High School and held an associate degree from Penn State University.

Mickey had tryouts with Major League Baseball teams as a pitcher. He had been employed by Kodak Corp. Mr. Seman owned and operated Seman Tire Co., Hanover Township, a company his father had founded.

He is survived by his wife, the former Constance Bogdon; sisters, Mrs. Harry (Rhoada) Lasinski and Mrs. Ronald (Rhonda) Koslosky; son, Christopher; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Stanley S. Stegura Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with Divine Liturgy in Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth, at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Volodymyr Popyk will celebrate Parastas services at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
