Patricia A. Brice, 64, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at Earl B. Hadlow Community Hospice, Jacksonville, Fla.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on July 23, 1949, a daughter of the late Peter and Helen Rychwalski Butruce.
Patricia was a 1967 graduate of GAR Memorial High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Jacksonville, Fla.
Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her.
Pat had a passion for cooking and baking for her family and friends. She was very proud of how she presented and decorated her home. Pat also loved to shop and tend to her garden, and she was an avid Jacksonville Jaguars fan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Butruce Jr., in 1977.
Patricia and her husband, Edward J. Brice, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Jan. 18, 2014.
In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by her children, Cindy Carey and her husband, Ron, Lincoln University, Pa.; Coleen Fink and her husband, Dave, Coppell, Texas; Neal Brice, at home; and Kara Kargel and her husband, Matt, Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; sister, Mary Ann Baker and her husband, Phil, Atlanta, Ga.; brother, David Butruce and his wife, Katherine, Shavertown; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary's Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
