Paul P. Oravec

Paul P. Oravec, 62, a former resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully late Wednesday evening, Oct. 3, 2012, at Linwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Scranton, where he was recently a guest.

Born June 15, 1950, in Kingston, Paul was the son of the late Joseph and Vera Chorba Oravec.

Raised in Swoyersville, Paul attended the former Holy Trinity Grade School, Swoyersville, and was a graduate of the former West Side Central Catholic High School, Kingston, Class of 1968.

Paul was a past member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.

He had a great love for music and was once a drummer in the band "Al and the Royal Diamonds."

Paul is survived by many cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, which will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Wroblewski Funeral Home Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville, with the Rev. Joseph J. Pisaneschi, pastor, officiating.

Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Family and friends are invited to call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
