Regina V. Diamanti of Liberty Hills, Hanover Township, passed away Saturday morning, April 12, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, on Jan. 16, 1939, a daughter of the late Lindo and Anna Harowicz Diamanti. She graduated from St. Nicholas High School, attended College Misericordia and graduated from King's College, Wilkes-Barre.
Regina was employed by the Wilkes-Barre Data Operations Center of the Social Security Administration for 38 years and retired as its director. She was a member of the National Association of retired Federal Employees and the Federal Officials Association.
She was a longtime member of St. Boniface Church, Wilkes-Barre, and of the choir. She was also a teacher and coordinator of the parish lector program. Regina was a member of St. Nicholas Church, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, and its choir.
Surviving are a brother, Joseph Diamanti, West Bend, Wis.; a sister, Linda Wills and her husband, James, Sterling, Va.; an uncle, David Shemanski, West Pittston; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
