Richard Lee Heilman, 78, of Harveys Lake passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Akron, Ohio, on Feb. 12, 1935. He was the son of the late William and Marie C. Ladich Heilman.
He was employed by the Ford Motor Co. He was also employed as a rodeo clown and finally worked in construction as a master builder.
His hobbies included building miniature models and RC airplanes, fishing, hunting, and he was a member of the Akron Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristopher Adams, and siblings, William, Curtis, James, Katherine and Ethel.
Surviving are his children, Joy Woods, Richard Woods, Roland Heilman, Daniel Heilman, Sherry Heilman, Terry Fongheiser, Jennifer Elliott, Roger Heilman and Karl Heilman; grandchildren, Kassandra Adams, Scott and Nathan Woods, Gregory, Mitchell and Kathleen Heilman, Eric Woods, Anne Witte, Daniel Heilman Jr., Brian Heilman, Heidi, Holly, Samuel, Thomas and Joshua Fongheiser, Andrew, Daniel, Destiny and Lindsay Elliott, and Benjamin, Katarina and Blake Heilman; and great-grandchildren, Shylaa, Adin, Kylan, Kolton, Rachel and Jayden.
A committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Interment will follow within the cemetery.
