Rita Miall

Rita Miall, 87, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Thursday morning, July 25, 2013, at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 2, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Stella (Waczka) Terpak. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter, Wilkes-Barre. She was very active with church activities.

Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crafts. She previously sang with Donlin's Pennsylvanian Orchestra.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bud" Miall, on April 27, 2000; and a sister, Marie Guhanick.

Surviving are her sister, Florence Stratton and her husband, John, Port Deposit, Md.; brother-in-law, Joseph Guhanick; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Episcopal Church of St. Clement and St. Peter, 165 Hanover St., Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. John C. Major will officiate. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas.
