Ronald Thomas Selenski Sr., 68, of Dallas passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, with his loving family by his side.
Ronald was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Kingston. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary Selenski.
He was a 1963 graduate of Wyoming Memorial High School. Shortly after, he began his career with the U.S. Treasury Department Comptroller of Currency as a federal bank examiner before retiring in 1989.
He was an active member and a former treasurer of Dallas American Legion Post 672.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Higdon Selenski, and brothers, Leonard, Frank (Skip) and Joe Selenski.
Surviving are his sister, Florence Antos, Wyoming; sons, Hugo Selenski and Ronald Selenski Jr., Shavertown; and daughters, Laura Strutko, South Carolina; Ruth Ann Pollard, Shavertown; Mary Ann Ellis, Dallas; Brook Selenski, Dallas; and Katlyn Selenski, Dallas. He had 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from Bednarski Funeral Home, 168 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas.
Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
