Rose D. Paul

Rose D. Paul, 92, formerly of the Hudson section of Plains Township, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 5, 2013, at her home with her family at her side.

Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Wassil Pollock.

Rose attended Plains Township schools and was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Slovak Church, Wilkes-Barre. Rose's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Paul, on June 24, 2001; and brothers, George Pollack and infant brother Jack Pollack.

Surviving are her daughters, Pat Stella and husband, Carl, West Pittston; and Karen Derolf and husband, Barry, Trucksville; grandchildren, Nicole Fasulka and husband, Chris, Brian Derolf and wife, Amanda, and Corrin Fisher and husband, Duane; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter Derolf and Reece and Aubrey Fisher; and brothers, Bob Pollock, Florida; and Al Pollock, New Jersey.

The Paul family would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart and Dr. Robert Engel for all of the excellent care and comfort they have given to Rose and all the family.

In accordance with Rose's wishes, her funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
