Ross D. Kossuth

Ross David Kossuth, 49, originally of Hughestown, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at his home in Hagerstown, Md.

Born in Pittston on Nov. 11, 1964, he was the son of Marie Bucheri Griglock of Rock Street, Hughestown, and the late Richard Kossuth.

Ross was a graduate of Seton Catholic High School; Johnson School of Technology; and received a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from Western Governor's University.

He was employed as a computer center technician by the Computer Science Corp., which is a subcontractor to the Department of Defense.

He enjoyed music, was part of the Rock Street Music Crew, attended festivals with his brother, Billy, and loved the music of 1224, his brother Richie's band. He was involved with music production for the bands Star Struck and Oz. He was also a muscle car enthusiast, enjoyed auto detailing, loved to travel and loved his cats.

Ross was a roller coaster enthusiast who traveled from state to state with his brother, Gary, to go on extreme rides at various amusement parks.

Ross was a wonderful person with a lovable attitude. His neighbors and coworkers have nothing but praise for Ross.

He was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Church, now St. John the Evangelist Parish.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ross and Edna Buchieri; Anna and William Kossuth; aunts and uncles, Steve and Bernadette Valkos; Al Stegura; Andy and Josephine Fereck; George Ohrin; and cousin, Joseph Valenti.

Ross is survived by his mother, Marie Griglock, and stepfather, Richard Griglock, Hughestown; and brothers, Billy Kossuth and his wife, Lisa, Old Forge; Richie Kossuth, Hughestown; and Gary Griglock and his wife, Joan, Bear Creek. Also surviving are his aunt, Rosemarie Ohrin; aunt and uncle, Theresa and Sam Valenti; uncle, Bernie Bucheri; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Parish, 35 William St., Pittston.

Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter.
