Teresa Ann Siegel, a life resident of Mountain Top, passed peacefully into eternal rest Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital with her family at her side.
Teresa, the daughter of Edwin and Ellen McGuire Henry, is survived by her husband, Wayne; her daughters, Sandra Smedley and her husband, William, Swoyersville; and Sarah Smigelski and her husband, Anthony, and their children, Jared and Taylore, all of Mountain Top. Teresa is also survived by her brother, James Henry and his wife, Sandy, Alabama; nieces, nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and cousins from Towanda.
Teresa and Wayne would have celebrated 53 years of marriage on April 15 of this year.
Teresa was a graduate of St. Nick's High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed for many years by the Crestwood School District and Luzerne County Community College in the food services department.
After retirement, Teresa spent most of her time enjoying life with her husband, her children and grandchildren and especially watching her grandson play baseball and her granddaughter compete in Irish step dancing.
She loved sewing, 4 o'clock Mass at St. Jude's on Saturdays with her friend, Sophia, holiday meals with her family, her cats, her fish and her grandpuppy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude's Catholic Church, Mountain Top, and will be private at the request of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made, in her name, to the SPCA of Luzerne County.
