Verna E. Staub

Verna E. Staub, 98, of Trucksville passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at Mercy Center, Dallas.

Born in the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, Verna was the daughter of the late George T. and Caroline R. Williams Miller. Verna resided in Trucksville most of her life and was a member of Trucksville United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Richard Staub; and brother, George E. Miller.

Surviving are son, George R. Isaacs and wife, Carol, Trucksville; grandchildren, Betty Crossley, Trucksville; Brian Bridger and wife, Colleen, Trucksville; Caroline Isaacs, Tucson, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren; nieces, Diane Barnes, North Little Rock, Ark.; and Mary Beth Farrell, Lehman Township.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Private entombment will be made in the mausoleum at Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Verna's family wishes to thank the staff of Mercy Center, Dallas, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their care and compassion.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown.
