Veronica Davis, 92, of the Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born Oct. 25, 1920, in Swoyersville, a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Regallis Gober.
She attended Swoyersville schools and during World War II, she was employed by the Duplan Silk Mill. Later she was employed by Hessler Laundry and Carter Rubber Footwear.
Mrs. Davis was a member of St. Benedict's Parish, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Davis, on May 21, 2008; brothers, Joseph, Peter, Anthony and John Gober; and sisters, Mary Gober, Genevieve Hanks and Helen Aiducavage.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Davis; sister, Jean Wojcik; nieces and nephews; and good friends and neighbors, Debbie and Ed Pesotski.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church, Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
