Vito Joseph Petrucci

Vito Joseph Petrucci, 94, of Exeter passed away Monday evening, Jan. 21, 2013, in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit of Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late Anthony and Lucy Cerano Petrucci.

A life resident of Exeter he was a graduate of St. Cecilia's High School, formerly of Exeter.

Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was a building contractor for more than 40 years.

He was a member of St. Cecilia's Church of St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter. Vito was also a member of Exeter Hose Company No. 1 and the Carpenters Union of Wilkes-Barre.

Preceding him in death were his wife, the former Sally Petro Petrucci, and brothers, William and John Petrucci.

Surviving are great-nephews, Jerry, Joe and his godson, Jimmy, and great-great-nephew, Christian; nephews, John Petrucci Jr., John Petrucci III and Anthony Petrucci.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church of St. Barbara's Parish, Exeter. Entombment will be in Denison Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
