Wanda Louise Bednarczyk

Wanda Louise Bednarczyk, 88, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away peacefuly on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Mary Heart Nursing Home, Roxbury, N.J.

She was born in Edwardsville, and was the daughter of the late Felix and Louise Banek Machalla. Upon moving to Nanticoke, she became a member of the former Holy Trinity Church, now St. Faustina Parish.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Stanley.

Presently surviving are a son, Frank Bednarczyk., East Stroudsburg; daughters, Theresa Black, Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; Deborah Levonick, Lexington, Va.; Marie Rolph, Chester, N.J.; brother, Frank Machalla, Toms River, N.J.; sister, Theresa Morse, Wall Township, N.J.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C. 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Faustina Parish, Primary site, with the Rev. James Nash officiating.

Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Nanticoke.

Friends and relatives are invited to join the family for calling hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to local food kitchen or food pantry.
