Loretta Mikolajczyk Obituary

Loretta H. Mikolajczyk, 89, of Blue Ridge Trail, Wapwallopen, passed away Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Newport Twp. on April 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Julia Studniasz Levandowski.

After graduating from Newport High School, Loretta operated a beauty parlor for many years, and for 46 years served as a school bus driver for the Crestwood School District.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Dorrance, a life member of St. Theresa's Guild and the Rosary Society.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edmund; son, Thomas; and brother, Leonard.

Surviving are her daughter, Andrea Engler and husband, Michael; son, Paul and his wife, Susan; grandchildren, Michael Engler Jr. and wife, Becky, Matthew Engler and Paul Jared Mikolajczyk; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Engler; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Thursday from Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Dorrance, at 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
