My deepest sympathy to Bill's wife and family. I am heartbroken to learn about Bill's passing. He was a wonderful mentor, friend and my wonderful boss when I worked at WVIA-TV/AM-FM. He was always supportive and kind to me when I worked for him and after. I hope he knew how much I appreciated his confidence in me. We first met when I was in college on the campus of Marywood University when I flagged him down in the WARM Flagship delivering green bagels to a winner of WARM's Saint Patrick's Day Song contest. Too much to type on all of that, but it is a great radio story that we loved to share with people when we had the opportunity. He was a very creative person, gifted broadcaster and communicator with an awesome career and a beautiful voice. I am happy we kept in touch over the years, but sad knowing that we never communicated enough. May he rest in peace.

I'm saddened to have learned- just this morning of Bill's passing. We lost a broadcast and industry giant and an honestly good man. My sincerest condolences to Bill's friends and family.

Bill Kelly was a mentor and one of my favorite professors at Bloomsburg University; because of him, I got to wear the Big Bird costume for WVIA at the Bloomsburg Fair, and his influence is the main reason I went to work in print and broadcasting right out of college. Lots of fond memories. May his memory be a blessing to his family and all who knew him. RIP Prof. Kelly.

Bill gave me my career start at WVIA and I will be forever grateful for the chance he took on me.

Bill & Susan are high school friends and have reconnected with. Bill would love to visit with my Dad (who passed a day later after Bill) and talk about my Dad's time in WWII. I'm going to miss that smile.
