Albert J. Graziano, 82, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre on Aug., 21, 1930, a son of the late Pasquale and Maria DeRocco Graziano.

Albert was an Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.

He was formerly employed by The Sunday Independent newspaper.

Albert was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre, and he was formerly a member of Holy Rosary Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of the Italian American Veterans and the Sons of Italy.

Albert was an avid sports fan and loved to garden.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Anthony, Angelo, Carl, Pasquale and Joseph; and by his sisters, Marie, Nicolette, Josephine and Elizabeth.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Carolyn E. Procida, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
