Alfred H. Dickhoner, 77, of Dupont, died Thursday morning, Nov. 30, 2017, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Alfred and Katherine Moritz Dickhoner, and was a graduate of John Bartram High School, Philadelphia.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

He worked for RCA and later Thompson Consumer Electronics, Dunmore, for more than 30 years until retirement. Following retirement, he volunteered for seven years at Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center and attended the Pittston Senior Citizens Center.

He was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Church, Nanticoke.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Edward, and sisters, Ruth Trout and Viola Cross.

Surviving are a daughter, Julianne Gulich and husband, Stephen, Dupont; son, Steven Dickhoner and wife, Nori, Moosic; and a grandson, Seth Gulich.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family from Lokuta-Zawacki Funeral Home, 200 Wyoming Ave., Dupont. There will be no public calling hours.
