Alma E. Moorehead, 93, of Franklin Township passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

She was born in Elysburg, daughter of the late Elias Leo and Rosa Larzar Tamanini, and was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School.
She was a war bride and worked in a defense plant during World War II.
Alma was in retail sales with area businesses and was last employed by Joanne Fabrics before retiring.
She was an avid reader and quilter. Although she never played golf, she followed golf closely and her favorite player was Tiger Woods.
Alma was a member of St. Francis Cabrini Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Moorehead. They had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary before his death.
Alma was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Moorehead-Morris; brothers, Alfred and Leo Tamanini; and sisters, Catherine Tamanini, Blanche Bridy and Mary Krum.
Surviving are a son, James Moorehead, Franklin Township; daughter, Rosemary Moorehead, York; grandchildren, Stephanie Herr, Mechanicsburg; Adam Morris, Plains Township; and Anthony Moorehead, Carbondale, Ill.; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Rev. Vincent Dang, pastor, St. Francis Cabrini Church, officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
