Ann E. Libertoski passed away Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 30, 1925, and was a daughter of the late Severin and Antonia Wawruch.
Ann was an avid shopper, and will fondly be remembered by her daughters and granddaughters for the countless shopping trips she made with them. She was also a dedicated homemaker. No one ever left her home without enjoying something to eat and drink. She will always be remembered for the big pot of chicken soup she made for her entire family every Sunday; a family tradition that will carry on.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Edward J. Libertoski Sr., who passed away Feb. 23, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Chesterine (Fanny) King, Julia Pokrifka, Stella Kenzakoski and Helen Kondratick; brother, Edward Wawruch; and grandson, David Thompson.
She is survived by her children, Joann Thompson and her husband, Leo, Bear Creek; Susan Ercolani and her husband, Edward, Shavertown; Donna Hayes and her husband, Ned, Bear Creek; Edward Libertoski and his wife, Patricia, Plains Township; and Frank Libertoski and his wife, Susan, Harveys Lake. Lovingly known as Nana, she is survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Polkowski, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Those who wish may pay their respects beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Chapel. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek.
The family would like to thank the staff at Little Flower Manor for their excellent and compassionate care during Ann's stay.
