Anna Catherine Dworak Kotula, 86, of Dupont passed away Friday morning, July 5, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born Nov. 19, 1926, in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Kristula Dworak.
Anna attended Dupont High School.
Prior to her retirement she was employed by Center Fashions in the garment industry, Saquit Silk Mills and Continental Cigar factories.
Anna was a member of Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont. She was a member of the Ladies Adoration Society of the church for more than 60 years.
Anna loved gardening and had beautiful flowerbeds and bounties of vegetables every year. She also loved cooking, baking and feeding everyone who entered her home, several meals per day; no one ever left hungry and usually left with food to go. She also enjoyed crafts, crocheting and knitting. Anna enjoyed celebrating holidays and visiting with her family, which included nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Anna was a devoted wife of more than 37 years to her late husband, Walter G. Kotula, who preceded her in death, along with brothers, Michael and Daniel Dworak, and a sister, Adele Sincavage.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ann J. Kotula, Dupont, her devoted caregiver; and Valerie M. Alba, Royersford; sister, Julia Sorbal, East Rutherford, N.J.; a brother, Fred Dworak, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews and her loyal and beloved dog, "Chloe."
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Mother of Sorrows Church, 212 Wyoming Ave., Dupont, with the Rev. Dr. Walter Placek officiating.
Interment will be in Holy Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Dupont.
