Anne Marie Gurnari, 74, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 28, 2013, at St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marie Hale Zimmerman.
She was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1955, and was employed as a seamstress by Leslie Fay, Plains Township, Gail's Fashions of Miners Mills and by the Wyoming Valley Health Care System.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Miners Mills, and its Altar and Rosary Society, and a current member of St. Benedict Parish, Parsons; secretary of the Miners Mills Little League; and was a member of the Miners Mills Crime Watch.
She and her husband, Alfred J. Gurnari, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 27, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Zimmerman.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Al, are her children, Nina Deno and her husband, Lloyd, Ashley; Alan Gurnari, Wilkes-Barre; Patti Zendarski and her husband, Bob, Glen Lyon; and Joseph (Jody) Gurnari and his wife, Bobbi Jo, Hudson; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Mercado, Scranton; aunt, Jule Novak, Kingston; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
