Dr. Anthony J. Mussari Sr., 75, of Dallas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at The Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas. He suffered from a rare brain disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He is survived by his wife, Kitch.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Angelo and Jane Petro Mussari.

Tony was a college professor for 40 years and earned his Ph.D. at The University of Iowa. He was also an award winning documentary film maker, the producer of a popular local television series, "Windsor Park Stories" and the author of four books including "Appointment with Disaster."

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth.

The nurses and staff at the Hospice of The Sacred Heart and the nurses' aides and entire staff including dietary, housekeeping and maintenance at The Meadows became our family and will forever remain in our hearts. The professional skill, kindness and compassion of Dr. Patrick Kilduff made our journey so much easier. We are grateful for his care. To Dr. Salvatore Lawrence and Julie, our heartfelt thanks for the care, kindness, and support.
