Arthur A. Evanoski, 88, of Edwardsville passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at his home.

He was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Luzerne, a son of William and Theresa Lapinski Evanoski. A former resident of the Philadelphia area, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator by James Morrisey Construction and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
Following his retirement, he was employed by the Irem Temple Country Club. Mr. Evanoski enjoyed playing the accordion and loved spending time on his boat. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years and love of his life Agnes Dominick Evanoski, on Oct. 31, 2013. His brothers, William, Walter and Charles, also preceded him in death.
Surviving are sisters-in-law, Sarah Davis and Jean Worth, both of Wilkes-Barre; brothers-in-law, Louis Dominick Sr. and his wife, Betty Jean, Edwardsville; and John Dominick and his wife, Cathie, Plains Township; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Kingston. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.
