Barbara Carbohn Obituary
Mrs. Carbohn was born Feb. 6, 1942, in Wilkes-Barre, and was the daughter of the late Rodney and Pauline Dell Chamberlain.
She received her degree as a registered nurse from Bucks County Community College and was employed by the Luther Woods Nursing Center, Horsham.
Mrs. Carbohn was an avid reader, a wonderful cook, and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Her husband, Joseph A. Carbohn, died in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert in 2006; and her brother, Rodney.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph A. Jr., and his wife, Jennifer, Hatboro; and Richard A., Chalfont; grandchildren, Ashley Marie and Nicholas; great-granddaughter, Sophia; and brothers, Charles Chamberlain, Ohio; Alan Chamberlain, Lake Township; Richard Chamberlain, of the Wilkes-Barre area.
The funeral will be held at noon Thursday from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., Routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Joel Mitchell of Noxen Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to noon prior to the service on Thursday.

I miss you more than words can say. I feel so much emptiness inside. I am so glad that we got to spend time together at the beach and that it was a good time for you. I can't believe that I will never be able to pick up the phone and share with you. You were not only my cousin but my God sister whom I loved very much. The only blessing that I have in losing you is that you are with your Joe, whom I know you loved and missed dearly.Thank you for all the words of encourgements over the years. My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Barbara Carbohn. Having only know her through tragedy, I hope her life was filled with more good than bad, more love than loss and when spoken of it is with words of happiness and grace. She will be with me always.

I am so blessed to have been able to spend time with Barb at a family wedding a few weeks ago. It was probabley 30 years since I had seen her even though she is my cousin. From my conversations with her she really missed Joe,I know that our Lord and Savior has a plan for all of us. Rest in peace my cousin rest in peace. My prayers go out to her children and may God put their minds at ease.
