Bernadine E. Boler, 79, of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born July 22, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late William and Martha Bogumil Kumor. She attended Meyers High School and resided in Miners Mills most of her life.
Mrs. Boler was a member of St. Benedict's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
A loving wife, selfless mother and grandmother, Bernadine was an easygoing, warm, compassionate person who possessed a great deal of strength. Caring for her family was her greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Boler, on June 19, 2000; sisters, Stephanie Moses, Bertha Wasilewski, Helen Bandura, Victoria Martin, Genevieve Przystrzelski and Loretta Grochowski; and brothers, Benjamin, Chester and Edmund Kumor.
Surviving are her children, Janis Boler, Wilkes-Barre, Joseph A. Boler and his wife, Jill, Kingston, and Valerie Boler, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Inez Schultz, Wilkes-Barre, Payton Boler, Kingston, and Joey Boler, Kingston; great-grandson, Bobby Answini; sisters, Veronica Kovelaski and Mary Petyo, both of Nuangola; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church, Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
