Bernard (Bucky) Yankosky of Wilkes-Barre passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born April 14, 1928, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late James and Pearl Zendion Yankosky.
Pop attended Wilkes-Barre Township schools and was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War.
He was employed by Central Slipper, Wilkes-Barre Township, and Wilkes-Barre Area Vo-Tech.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, on Jan. 11, 2013; grandson, Jason Yankosky; brothers, Larry, Thomas and James; and sisters, Ronnie Leco and Margie Stuckie.
Pop will be sadly missed by his sons, Bernard and his wife, Cindy, Springtown, Texas; and Wayne and his wife, Barbara, Larksville; grandchildren, Aaron Yankosky, Lori Buschbacher, Alexa and Tyler Yankosky; great-grandchildren, Bella, Joey and Ty Colton; sisters, Marion Hall, Hampton Roads, Va.; and Theresa Haymond, Greenwood, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 126 Nesbitt St., Larksville. The Rev. Gerald Gurka, pastor, will be the celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
