Betty Ann Edwards, 81, of Lehman Township passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Edwards was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 21, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Kuzmak Yamelski.
Betty was an Avon representative in the area for many years. She enjoyed listening to her music, especially polkas and country western. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in making a beautiful home for her family.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gerald, and brother, Gerald Yamelski.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hilbert Edwards; son, Randall and his wife, Helen; three grandchildren, Lory Floryan and her husband, John; Randy Edwards, and Samuel Edwards and his fiancee, Michelle Christopher; four great-grandchildren, Julianna and Charlie (Pete) Floryan, Brandon Edwards, and Jackson Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., route 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Bob Ryder, pastor of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
