Betty R. Green, 73, of Harding passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Beaumont, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Krause Pellam. She was educated in the Beaumont schools.

For many years she was employed by Carter Footwear of Wilkes-Barre and, prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Wyoming Area School District at the Sarah Dymond School.

She was an active member of Bennett Presbyterian Church of Luzerne.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Harry Green; sisters, Barbara Dearmit, Dorothy Gruver, Elizabeth Kline, Shirley Minckler and Peggy Strohl; and brother, Charles Pellam.

Surviving are her children, Mary Bolton and her husband, Tom, Wyoming; Debbie Bowen and her husband, Ray, Exeter; Lisa Scoble and her husband, Martin, Wyoming; and John Letoski and his wife, Sandra; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Pellam, Courtdale; sister, Linda McDermott, Courtdale; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. James Quinn of Bennett Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will be in Mountain View Burial Park, Exeter Township.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
