Charlotte E. Koepke, 92, of Nanticoke died early Tuesday morning, May 15, 2018, at ManorCare Hampton House, Hanover Twp., where she had been a patient for the past six weeks.

Born Nov. 23, 1925, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Elsie Poslock Borman. Charlotte lived in Nanticoke for most of her life, except for a few years in Irvington, N.J., where her husband, William, was employed for a short time earlier in life.

She was employed by the former MacGregor Sportswear, Nanticoke, for many years until its closing and later worked at Woodbury Garment, Lee Park, and last at A. Rifkin Company, Hanover Township, until retiring.

Charlotte was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, State Street, Nanticoke. Her main interest in life was her home and family. She and William enjoyed camping and were permanent summer campers at Whispering Pines Campground near Stillwater for over 20 years and which she continued until age 85.

On Feb. 14, 1999, she was preceded in death by her husband, William, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage. She was also preceded by her son, William Jr., on Aug. 2, 1994; grandchildren, Heather and Justin Koepke; and sisters, Muriel, Ruth and Marilyn.

She is survived by her son, Charles C. Koepke and wife, Diane, North Lake, Ross Township; and a daughter-in-law, Diana Koepke, Nanticoke. She also has three grandchildren, Nicole McGuigan and husband, Michael, Scranton; Rachel Koepke, Shickshinny; and Alicia Angeli and husband, James, Hunlock Township; three great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Emma and Wyatt McAndrews; and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Michele D. Kaufman officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Viewing and period of visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
