Charlotte G. Carter, 98, formerly of Kingston and Dallas, passed away Monday evening, Jan. 14, 2013, at Manorcare Health Services, Kingston.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agda Nelson Lewis.

She was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and Drexel University, where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration. She was a member of Trucksville United Methodist Church for more than 50 years.

For many years she was a volunteer at the Nesbitt Hospital and was a member of the Nesbitt Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Carter was also a member of Eastern Star Chapter 390 of Reading.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leslie Carter; grandson, Andrew Seal; sister, Emma Woolbert; and brother, Nelson Lewis.

Surviving are her children, Virginia Carter Seal, Royersford; and Judith Cohen, Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren, Charles Seal, Elizabeth Bennett, Daniel and Susan Cohen; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Connor Rowan, Drew, Anna and Naomi Edan; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Marian Hartman of Trucksville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.
