Christopher Michael Kolbeck


Christopher Michael Kolbeck, 36, of Wyalusing, tragically passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018.

Chris was born April 12, 1982, in Pittston, a son of Rosemary Straka Kolbeck and the late William Michael Kolbeck. He graduated from Wyalusing Valley High School as a member of the class of 2001. He married the former Heather Dietz on Sept. 4, 2010.

He was currently working at Endless Supply and had previously worked in construction for many years with Hud's Construction.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. His greatest joy was his three daughters as they were the light of his life. He supported them in all their sporting and extra-curricular activities and was always there to cheer them on in anything they did.

He was predeceased by his father, William Michael Kolbeck, on Aug. 10, 2002; his paternal grandparents, George and Arlene Kolbeck; and maternal grandparents, Steven and Lois Straka.

Surviving are wife, Heather, at home; three daughters, Mackenzie, 12, at home; Cheyanne, 9, at home; and Hailey, 4, at home; mother, Rosemary Kolbeck, Wyalusing; brother, William "Billy" Kolbeck, Wyalusing; mother-in-law, Connie (Duane) Wilmarth,Laceyville; fathers-in-law, Brian (Debbie) Dietz, Wyalusing; and Hudson Ellis, Wyalusing; brothers-in-law, Brian (Casey) Dietz, Wyalusing; and Corey Honeywell, Texas; aunts and uncles, Theresa and Michael Vaccaro, Downingtown; Kenneth and Rosemarie Kolbeck, West Wyoming; Georgeann Kolbeck, Brodheadsville; Diane and Edmund Miller, Moosic; George and Mindy Kolbeck, Milton, Del.; Edwin and Gwendolyn Kolbeck, East Brunswick, N.J.; and Lorraine Smith, Wyalusing; nephews, Brian Dietz, Ethan Dietz, Camden Honeywell and Payton Dietz; niece, Mckenzy Messersmith; and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing, with the Rev. Dr. Barry R. Ballard officiating.

Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until the start of the service at noon Saturday at P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 1 Grovedale Lane, Wyalusing.
