Clara T. Yanushefski, 90, of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 10, 2013, at Commonwealth Hospice, St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Shenandoah, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Melecki Paruch.
Clara was a graduate of Shenandoah High School, a homemaker, and assisted her husband, "Major," at Curley's Bar, Hilldale.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew "Major" Yanushefski, on July 9, 1989; brothers, Walter and Joseph Paruch; and sister, Dorothy Paruch.
Surviving are her son, Matthew Yanushefski, Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughter, Denise Dubis and her husband, Mark, Lakewood, Ohio; granddaughter, Victoria Dubis; brother, John Paruch, Shenandoah; and niece, Diane Paruch.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Friday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Township.
Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hudson section of Plains Township.
