Claude "Bear" Golightley III, 70, of Shavertown passed away Monday, May 7, 2018, at Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born Dec. 19, 1947, in Kingston, he was the son of the late Marie Sankus Golightley and the late Claude Golightley II.

Bear was a graduate of Larksville High School and was employed by Martz for more than 35 years.

He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and Jackson Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne.

Surviving are his brother, Thomas and his wife, Cathy, Swoyersville; sister, Jeanne Hunter, Shavertown; sister-in-law, Jayne Golightley; nieces, Lindsay, Chelsea, Audriana and Leah; nephew, Tommy; and his friend, Maxwell the dog.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Williams-Hagen Funeral Home, 114 W. Main St., Plymouth, with the Rev. Quinn officiating.Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
