David Yeager, 61, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, in Celtic Hospice at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born April 15, 1957, David was the son of the late Albert "Pug" Yeager and Dorothy Sersen Yeager. David was a graduate of John S. Fine High School, Class of 1975, and attended Thaddeus Stevens College in Lancaster.

After college, David worked as an elevator mechanic until his retirement in November 2016.

He was an active member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors, Local 84, holding a position on the executive board. He was also an instructor for the National Elevator Industry Education Program, teaching the trade to new apprentices. He was also a member of the Nanticoke 400 Club and Local SOE 834, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

David is survived by his daughter, Marissa; grandson, Colton; Marissa's mother, Shelia; godson, John Michael; brother, Mark; sister-in-law, Carol; niece, Amy; great-niece, Ava; and great-nephews, Tyler and Nicholas.

A Mass with cremated remains will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Faustina Parish, South Hanover Street, Nanticoke.
