Dolores M. Zack

Dolores M. Zack of Hanover Twp. passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, surrounded by her loving family, in Erwine Hospice inpatient unit at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born Jan. 28, 1933, in Glen Lyon, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Sophia Sobeleski Mihneski.

Dolores was a 1951 graduate of Newport Twp. High School. She was employed as a seamstress by Bass Manufacturing, Plymouth, for over 25 years, retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Buttonwood, where she enjoyed the annual bazaar. She also loved polkas, bingo, crafts, baking and trips to the casino with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, on June 7, 2006.

Surviving is her daughter, Debra Borkowski and her husband, Edward, Forty Fort; son, Robert Zack and his wife, Elizabeth, Lehman Twp.; grandchildren, Lauren Zack-Taylor and her husband, Jeffrey; and Ryan Borkowski and his wife, Katie; great-grandson, Benjamin Borkowski; brothers, Frank and Bernard Mihneski, both of Glen Lyon; and Michael Mihneski and his wife, Maryann, Nanticoke; sisters, Evelyn Shimko, Glen Lyon; and Arlene Mieczowski, Newport Twp.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her furry companion, Jingles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Exhaltation of the Holy Cross Church, 420 Main Road, Hanover Twp. Interment will follow in Hanover Green Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday morning in the church.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Matthew Reddick and his family for being kind and helpful for many years, and a special thank you to the staff at Erwine Hospice.
