Edward Antosz of McCarragher Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at home after a short illness.

Born May 11, 1924, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Antosz. He attended Coughlin High School.
He was a naval veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre, and American Legion Post 558, Plains Township.
He is survived by daughters, Sharon and her husband, Victor Hardy, Evans, Ga.; Michele and her husband, Michael Tillger, Landsdale; grandchildren, Carl Rau and Allison Stahl, Zach, Kyle and Luke Tillger; great-grandchilren, Nicholas and Kaitie Rau, Logan and Devon Stahl, Addison Tillger; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gwendolyn Hyder; brothers, Benjamin and Frank; sisters, Jean, Sally and Nelda.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Parrish Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday.
