Eleanore (Kuna) Bryk, 73, of Dupont passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

She was born in Dupont on Sept. 11, 1940, and was the daughter of the late William and Constance (Porzucek) Kuna.

Eleanore was a member of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, Dupont, and a 1957 graduate of Dupont High School. In her younger years, she worked in the local garment industry. She was very active within the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church community, volunteering her time with many of the church functions over the years. Most of all, she enjoyed being with family and friends, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and her weekly coffee shop and local diner stops with her sisters and friends. Eleanore will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Truskowski, Edward, William Jr. Maryanne Kuna and infant Theresa Kuna.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Walter Bryk, her son, David and his wife, Kim, Exeter; daughter, Michelle Bryk, Jeffersonville; her sisters, Dorothy Potorski, Dupont; and Bernadine Bryk, Dupont; and her brother, Chester Kuna, Dupont. Also surviving are her grandchildren, David Bryk, stepgrandaughter, Jamie Quinn, and step great-granddaughter, Kaylee.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lackawanna Avenue, Dupont, with the Rev. Joseph Verespy officiating. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church Building Fund, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont, PA 18641.
